OTA Software Deployment
mprodigy's OTA (Over The Air) software deployment is fast and secure and supports all standard network types (GSM, 3G, GPRS, Wi-Fi and Ethernet (wired)) allowing configuration, application or driver updates to be applied to many thousands of devices at the click of a button.

Advanced deployment
Deployments can be scheduled and constrained as required with full support for multiple time-zone deployments. mprodigy Standard is aware of running applications and can delay a deployment until sensitive and vital data has been synchronised with back-office systems. Any changes to device configuration, software or driver update or redeployment is recorded and is fully version-controlled.
In order to minimise adverse effects on productivity, organisations must ensure that updates and deployments only occur when devices are not in use, for example in the early hours of the morning. Being aware of the local time on any given device is paramount to this.
Comprehensive Asset Register
mprodigy's asset register is automatically updated and records all aspects of a mobile device including: hardware; serial number; MAC address; driver details and firmware information. Its advanced features also record details of both permanent and removal assets such as GPRS radios, Bluetooth antennae, removable storage, scanners and cameras as well as software version information. A full audit trail is held and various reports can be run.
Organisations mandated to conform to corporate governance directives can utilise this enhanced device discovery and inventory capability to help ensure compliance. This information can also be used to maximise device utilisation.
Location-based services
mprodigy Standard is able to record location information via GPS, for devices that support it, or from IP address (network) information for devices without a GPS module. This can be used to track device location and for event mapping.

Helpdesk tools
mprodigy Standard provides comprehensive in-field problem resolution tools to helpdesk operatives. From the mprodigy console, devices can be remotely viewed in real-time and then remotely controlled should diagnostics or end-user training be required. Devices can be rebooted or reset and remote file retrieval and execution allows helpdesk operatives to copy log files from a device and run diagnostic programs or patches without devices needing to be returned to base.
User feedback suggests that up to 80% of device failures in the field can be fixed remotely by rebooting or restarting the device. Reducing the number of devices sent for repair and keeping field workers working by fixing problems as and when they occur, wherever they occur, offers organisations significant cost savings as well as increases in revenue through improved up-time and worker efficiency.
