I’m often asked for advice on how to achieve successful mobile deployments. So here are my two top tips to kick start 2008:

1	Make sure you plan your mobile solution in an integrated and holistic way, not as disparate parts - think beyond the walls of your organisation so that you consider the whole ‘intra-organisation’.
2	Look at the lifecycle of the whole project, not just the purchase of the devices. It’s worth having a five year view which starts with the initial planning and selection phase, then covers implementing the system, then the operational phase through to maximising your investment.
