Job Title: Full Stack Developer
Location: Oxfordshire
State: UK
Position Description:

Unlock the power of big data to develop powerful analytics for mobile ‘things’. We are developing a sophisticated analytics engine to provide fast analysis of a world of occasionally connected mobile ‘things’.

What we are looking for

A Full Stack Developer to join a team working on a new big data analytics product.

We are looking for experience in multiple technologies across software engineering rather than one or two specific skills. This means that you will probably have 10 years’ experience of software development or you may be a hero who has crammed all that experience into less years.

You will definitely be a hands-on developer, with intellectual appetite and somebody who learned something new yesterday and is committed to learning something new tomorrow. You’ll be brainy and want to work with other brainy people with an appetite for coming up with product solutions. You’ll want to get it working because you’ll share in the rewards of the company’s success with share options. You will be a self-starter/leader working in an empowered team. Somebody who likes to socialize with the Developer community about the work they are doing would be great. You’ll be working with the latest technologies and don’t have to have used them before but any of the following experience is of interest.

·         Node.js

·         Backbone.js

·         Angular.js

·         NoSQL databases

·         AWS

·         Knockout.js

·         JQuery

·         Continuous Deployment

(UI design, triathlon trainer and party organizer also works !)

We use pair programming, Agile, Lean, TDD, BDD, CI … but we believe best practice is dynamic so this could always change if we find a better way. Our offices are in the in the middle of an apple orchard, in contemporary office accommodation that has been converted from a fruit storage warehouse and retains some of the features. Great location for clearing the mind with a jog on the nearby Ridgeway or relieving some stress with a blast down the Ridgeway hills on a mountain bike. Convenient for Oxford to the north and the nearby Didcot Parkway railway station means that it is only 15 minutes by train to Reading or 40 minutes to London. Not great for pizza at 2am in the morning – but if you want to work at 2am in the morning hopefully that is on your own projects, at home where you have a fridge and microwave.
