About Us

B2M Solutions was set up in 2002 to meet a clear business need – to help organisations manage their increasing reliance on mobile applications through greater control of both the technology and the people using that technology.

Market Need

When companies and their operations rely on mobile technology, it is vital that they keep their mobile workers working. So when devices stop working, or get lost, broken or stolen and when they need regular software updates, companies must be prepared. They must also know how their suppliers are performing and understand how users are coping with the technology.

B2M Solutions provides the solution to all these mobile management situations. It helps organisations to manage these changes in business processes – at both the technology and the human level.

Unique Approach

B2M is unique in its ability to provide a complete and robust management platform across the whole mobile enterprise. It is also distinctive in its focus on providing management systems for critical line-of-business environments such as parcel delivery, logistics, field service, industrial and retail.

B2M’s mprodigy mobile management system also provides:
• Industrial-strength device and asset management capabilities
• A modular solution that is scaleable to multi-vendor, large scale international deployments
• Comprehensive Management Data for improved decision making
• Process level information for input into ongoing change management
• Support for international time zones
• Completeness of Vision, thus providing a one stop shop

The B2M Strategy

The highly experienced team at B2M, led by Julie Purves, has 80+ years of experience in mobile computing including deployment to customers with in excess of 5,000 mobile users. The team has combined its in-depth understanding of the needs of line-of-business mobile workers with its wide-ranging experience in enterprise computing systems.

From the outset, Julie’s clear-sighted vision for B2M was to create a world-leading software company focused on the management of the mobile enterprise. The business is at the heart of the largest growing IT sector – the enterprise mobile market.

B2M’s strategy is to provide large organisations with a truly innovative mobile management solution – one that helps them manage their increasing reliance on mobile applications through greater control of both the technology and the human factors. This strategy has been recognised by IDC as being unique in the marketplace and a key to B2M’s strength.

Channel Strategy

B2M is focused on channel development in the UK and Europe through its mpartner channel community. Partnerships have been established with a growing list of premium mobile device manufacturers, distributors, resellers and developers such as Avnet Technology Solutions, Spirit Data Capture, Ryzex and Blackbay.

B2M offers its mpartners innovative ways to add value to their mobile installations. Partners can offer initial mobile infrastructure support through to value-added consultancy based on mobile business intelligence and mobile change management. Partners can then position themselves to offer their customers higher value services such as fully managed and outsourcing capabilities.

Through these partnerships and their customer installations, B2M is expanding its market reach both geographically and functionally.

B2M is a Microsoft Gold Partner. The mprodigy suite is positioned as the ‘Mobile Management Product of choice for robust industrial markets’.

Market Leading Solution

In 2005, B2M launched mprodigy, the first enterprise mobile management solution to help organisations keep workers working, control mobile assets and suppliers more effectively as well as ensure streamlined change management when new mobile technology is introduced to field staff.

mprodigy’s suite of five modules provides a scaleable solution that adds value at every stage of a mobile project – through the phases of planning, implementation and operations and then finally enabling organisations to maximise the full value of their mobile technology investment.

mprodigy is now deployed in a number of organisations including Lynx Express, part of UPS parcel carriers, strawberry producers S&A Produce and CBS Outdoor (transport advertising).

Technical Innovation

B2M is recognised as a pioneer and innovator and has been awarded two substantial development grants from the DTI in recognition of this.

From the company’s inception, B2M has concentrated on Microsoft technologies and in particular on devices running Windows CE based operating systems.

Delivering constant innovation to its customers, B2M provides support to the growing populations of devices used in critical line-of-business environments. The effective management of these line-of-business devices is essential as companies strive to improve efficiencies and achieve greater customer focus.

Market Opportunity

The global market for rugged hardware devices is set to almost double from $4.6 billion in 2006 to $8 billion by 2011 (source IDC 2006). Analyst firm Gartner calculates that hardware is only 25% of the Total Cost of Ownership for a mobile enterprise, so non–hardware costs, of which management solutions is a vital part, are worth $24 Billion.

IDC also forecast that the worldwide market for Mobile Device Management (MDM) enterprise software will grow from $205.7 million in 2006 to $345.0 million in 2011.

Investors

Investors have demonstrated their continued support for the company. Dolphin Head, a telecommunications and property investment company, has provided backing to B2M Solutions since early 2005. The company supports B2M’s mission to be the leading supplier of mobile enterprise management systems in the next five years.

B2M has also attracted funding from two new private investors. They have praised the B2M management team and see the massive potential of mprodigy as it solves real business problems in an emerging industry.
